1 Examine how attitudes towards linguistic standards empower and oppress language users. Explore how views on language standards can affect speakers positively and negatively  5 I learned how views on language standards can affect speakers positively and negatively in  Amy Tan work as she describes her mothers struggles of trying to fit in using her English and is harshly judged due to certain beliefs or “proper English”.  Amy Tan’s “Mothers Tongue” and Langston Hughes’s poem. My Synthesis essay  also discussed This topic.
2 Explore and analyze, in writing and reading, a variety of genres and rhetorical situations. Experimenting with different reading and writing genres to better understand rhetorical scenarios.  4 I learned how experimenting with different reading and writing genres help to better understand rhetorical scenarios when writing my cover letter from my LLN  and my synthesis essay.
3 Develop strategies for reading, drafting, collaborating, revising, and editing. Finding productive ways to use material. 4 I learned how to find materials in productive ways by writing my LLN  and peer review from my classmates regarding my LLN.

Using  understand how to understand your target media to best deliver your message to your specific audience. 3 I learned how to use these resources to help target my audience through media by doing my translation 2 which helped me learn how to convey  message visually.

Making sure you can find reliable peer reviewed sources. 2 I learned making sure all my sources and peer reviewed sources are reliable by using CCNY library website to locate accurate sources. Jstore and Synthesis essay helped me relocate and replace lots of false peer reviewed articles that can be fake in the internet.
7 Compose texts that integrate a stance with appropriate sources, using strategies such as summary, analysis, synthesis, and argumentation. Including a clear argument with credible sources to support it. 3 I learned how to build a text with a clear argument/stance with credible sources to support it by writing my Synthesis essay and using the library resources to make sure my resources were credible.
8 Practice systematic application of citation conventions. Learning how to use citation standards rules accurately and regularly/ efficiently. 3 I learned how to do this when I was writing about my Synthesis essay and had to cite everything at the end and even when I was trying to integrate the citation to the paragraph.
